My reading habits vary vastly from sci-fi, comedy and international fiction, to a wide range of non-fiction books. I spotted this one on the shelf at work a few weeks back and thought it looked quite interesting. Having grown up at the end of the Cold War, my knowledge mainly consists of walls and countries collapsing, but not much about what happened on the other side up to this point. Kazakhstan is one of those countries that we in the west still know relatively little about, and that is how this book begins.
