Leader of the Pack - Kate Cann

Rating:
her old friends behind, her old hobbies and being second best in jacks life to rugby starts to pull at their relationship. This is an amazingly written book by Kate Cann and I love how she gets into the mind of teenagers really well. Most girls (and boys) my age and slightly younger can probably relate to this and understand what s going on, which makes you feel as if you are those characters in the book, being pulled in by everything. It s not my favourite book but it s a good summer read for mid-late teenagers to read and it s one that is hard to put down. Kate Cann writes beautiful books for teenagers and I love every one of them, and this one doesn t disappoint ...

Rating:
boy, alternating between them. Kate Cann writes male characters brilliantly, and it s a shame that the cover could put boys off reading it. I would recommend this book to mid-teenagers, both girls and boys (if you can get the latter to look past the cover). There is a fair bit of sexual content but all the sex is safe, and I think it s important that teenagers learn not to be embarrassed about protecting themselves. Anyone over the age of 17 will probably find the storyline a bit simplistic, but if you read teen/young adult fiction regularly you should enjoy this. Like many of Kate Cann s books it is a realistic story and you could imagine it happening all over the ...

Rating:
I grew up reading Kate Cann books. From the first one which came free with a copy of Bliss or Sugar or some other top quality teen mag, I was hooked. There was something about the way she found a voice for her teenage heroines that was neither too old nor too young, nor too cheesy. And it wasn t just the Goldilocks factor. The stories always seemed alarmingly real, as if they could happen to you, or your best friend, or one of the girls at school. So, needless to say I was quite chuffed to receive a copy of Sea Change, and I discovered she was still writing, and had far from lost her touch. Chloe is a bit of a fish out of water at her new school, where she moved when ...
