Unless you have been living in a shell for the last few years you'll know that 'In The Night Garden' is one of the countrys biggest childrens (mainly pre-schoolers) programmes right now. The shows main characters consist of Upsy Daisy, Igglepiggle, Makka Pakka and The Tombliboos. Upsy Daisy is a very girlie character. She wears a pretty flowery dress and has colourful (and really quite crazy) hair. Her favourite things appear to be flowers, singing and her bed. I guess many little girls can relate to her in a way. My daughter owns a book called 'Ooh, pretty flower!' which is a book all about Upsy Daisy. Most people don't realise but the ... Read the complete review

My 15 month old daughter is Upsy Daisy mad at the moment. For this reason I bought her this book as an addition to her In The Night Garden growing collection of items. Ooh Pretty Flower is a book which focuses on Upsy Daisy wanting to look at flowers. If you have children who watch the show, you'll understand that this is Upsy Daisy's thing to look at pretty flowers. The book starts with Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle looking at flowers. Upsy Daisy wants to find more flowers but Iggle Piggle wants to ride on the train otherwise known as the Ninky Nonk. There are fourteen pages in the book and each page has a few lines, telling a short story about how Iggle ... Read the complete review

Anyone with children will not have been able to ignore the ever popular TV show called In the Night Garden. As with all children's shows the merchandise has been sold in huge amounts, my boys have also wanted all of it. The TV show has produced some very nice books. This one is called Upsy Daisy, Ooh, Pretty Flowers. The book is a hard covered book and has a picture of Upsy Daisy on it standing in front of a pile of flowers, there is a pink shape in the top right hand corner with the title in purple lettering. The back cover of the book is blue and shows the scene of Igglepiggle in his boat on the ocean which can been seen at the beginning and end of the TV ... Read the complete review

My granddaughter received Ooh, Pretty Flower! for her birthday a couple of weeks ago and I must say it's an absolutely lovely book for her (and Nanny!) to look through, as are the rest of the books in the In The Night Garden series of board books. Ooh, Pretty Flower! is the book in the series which features Upsy Daisy, my granddaughter's favourite character from the show at the moment, and tells the story of her looking around the garden at all the lovely bright flowers. Igglepiggle decides he is bored of looking at flowers so wants to take a ride on the Ninky Nonk, only to return for Upsy Daisy when he finds the prettiest flower in the garden. ...
