Incy Wincy Spider. Until recently, I had never seen or heard of this book, but it has proved quite a hit with the young children I teach. The author is the creator of Bob the Builder, and one of my favourite books, The crunching Munching caterpillar, so I am surprised I had never heard of it. The book is a “touchy feely” kind of book, in that the spider’s web and the threads which attach his web to various objects are silver and are slightly raised from the page, to give them an almost glittery effect- very popular with young children.
