in reading this book, my biggest tip would be to start with the very first "Women of the otherworld" book, and start from there. Whilst this isnt compulsory, I think "personal demon" is far more enjoyable when you have a grasp of the backstory. You know when a book is something special when the minute that you pick it up you have to physically struggle with yourself to put it down again. Bitten is one of those books. This book is excellent, a funny, fast-paced, thriller, written in the first person. The best I have read for a long while. The story is about Elena, the only female werewolf in existence. It begins with Elena in her flat in Toronto at 2am, where she is fighting her natural urge ?to Change?. Her live-in boyfriend is human and is entirely unaware of what she is, so she must be very careful to conceal her true identity.
