Written between 1935 and 1945 when She was approximately 80-90 years old, these books tell the life story of Laura Ingalls Wilder who was the child of a pioneering family in America in the 1850's and 60's. The series of books take us on a vivid journey as she travels with her mother, father, and three sisters through the wilderness of America then, settling for a while in various places before moving on when areas began to get crowded, or being moved on by the government because they were settled in Indian territory!
