Do you know who Mick Inkpen is? You probably will know his name if you were a child or have had a child since 1989 In 1989 Mick published his first children’s book the blue balloon. We have a copy of this in our book corner at school. Mick is just a couple of years older than me. He was born in Romford Essex in 1952 .Before he started publishing children’s books he was a graphic designer working with Nick Butterworth , together they developed a cartoon strip for the express on Sunday magazine .
