Advantages: Good story, it is King

Disadvantages: Not amazing

I only recently picked up this book, I don't know how I missed it, I've read nearly every other book he's read.

Well I have to say this book is great. I would say King's books fall into two categories, the unmissable classics such as 'The Stand' or 'IT', and the books that are merely great.

This falls into the second. I didn't get excited over it, nor did I miss any sleep (ironic considering the title) but I did enjoy a good, solid read.

The book centers around Ralf, an elderly man who suffers from insomnia, later we find this is to allow his body to change so he can access 'higher levels', once on the higher levels they can communicate with other life forms who give him, and his soon to be wife a task to do.

A good book. Any fan of King will love it, but if you are new to his works I would suggest picking up another one first.

Summary: A good, solid read but not out-of-this-world
