Advantages: Realistic characters in unrealsitic situation that is made real., Couldn't put it down.

Insomnia, by Stephen King, is a comedy and a tragedy all in one. Some partds of this novel were so funny I laughed until my stomach hurt. Others were so emotional that I cried along with the characters. King has a talent for making the characters in his novels real. Each time I read one of his novels, I become at least one or two of the characters in it. The events which take place in his stories are so realistic that one cannot help but feel what the characters feel. When I finished this novel, I was very satisfied with the way it began and ended. In Insomnia, the majority of the strange occurrences are happening to an elderly man who is dealing with the loss of his wife. First, he blames the odditties on depression from his loss, but then it gets deeper. This tale takes the reader through twists and turns in an unlikely situation that is somehow made into reality.
