Advantages: easy to read with images that illustrate the point the author is making in an interesting fun way

Disadvantages: Abit pricy to buy from some book shops .

This small white professional looking book should become your new best friend especially if you work or intend to work in any creative or media industry.

You can recognise this understated book by its plain white cover with black, grey and silver black type. Half the top part of the cover is dedicated to its title slogan "IT'S NOT HOW GOOD YOU ARE, IT'S HOW GOOD YOU WANT TO BE." There is a simple red line and the description "The world's best-selling book by PAUL ARDEN." The book is produced by PHAIDON.
Although it is a paperback book it does not feel cheap at all. I purchased this book for £4.95 but you may be able to get it cheaper online as I bought mine from a museum shop several years ago.

The book is 127 pages long but the style of the content mean it could be easily read in a day.
I think this book would appeal to graphic designers and other creative people as it contains lots of pictures to help illustrate the points and quotes made by the author.

So what is this book about I find you asking? Well good question!
Imagine having your own personal motivator sitting on your bookshelf just waiting to help you when you need a buzz of encouragment.
So say your a creative person and you are having a mental block and losing motivation then this is a must have book to own.
It is quite witty and not dull to read at all. The way the writing is worded makes it feel as though you have a confident witty motivational friend right by your side telling you allsorts of useful tips and advice.
Each page of the book starts off with a title, quote, advice or tip. The writing then underneath will go into further detail on each point made until it hammers it home. There are some images of advertising or images that illustrate the point the author is making. Most of the book is black and white but there are some colour articles and pages which break up the tone of the book.

The back of the book describes it as " a pocket 'bible' for the talented and timid to make the un-thinkable and impossible possible."
I agree with this statement as it pretty much sums up the whole book better than I could but if I had to I would say that I recommend this book to anyone in a creative or media industry but that it is also simply put a great motivational book that the everyday person could take the tips and advice and apply it to areas of their life.

Overall - A great pick me up!
