I thought I would put this opinion here as I wanted to acknowledge all the book written by Christian Jacq. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ramses series and from visiting Egypt reading the history I can see that although his opinions, at first, seem at odds with history....many egyptologists are of his opinion. The most important element of his books is the ability to put flesh on the bones, I feel I know Ramses and all the charaters so well now. The other series centered around the Workers village and 'The Stone of Light' were enthralling.
