Yet another fantastic book from Jamie Oliver. He calls it the essential family cook book and it really is. He manages to posh up the most basic of recipes, including his gorgeous sausage and mash and burger and chips. I have cooked these recipes for my entire family and they have all been a great hit. He has a fabulous section called 5 minute wonders, these are receipes which you can basically put together in a matter of minutes and they are really tasty. I particularly liked the salmon and cous cous and gindered chicken with noodles. I also love his sarnies section which provides some really good an unusual sandwich filling ideas. Another of my favourite chapters is his pasta section, all the recipes are easy to follow and very low in cost. One of my favourite recipes is his simple baked lasagne, which makes up loads so I freeze any leftover which is great.
