I got this recipe book for Christmas and I have to say that I have used it regularly in 2009. I have a shelf full of recipe books and I'm glad to say that this one hasn't collected any dust yet!

The book is typical of Jamie Olivers style with plenty of artistic photography to provide essential pictures of the completed meals.

The book is divided into chapters including stir-fries, curries, salads, mince, stews and fish to name a few. The recipes generally have store cupboard, affordable ingredients (except for a few of the curry recipies) which are not too daunting to consider doing on a weekday night.

The book compliments Jamies recent TV series that promoted his idea of 'pass it on' - the theory that everyone should pass on a simple recipe to get the nation cooking and eating more healthily. And I'm pleased to say that I have 'passed on' a couple of recipes to do my bit!

I would recommmend this book for beginners to cookery and also more established, homely cooks, who enjoy good food
