War Against the Chtorr Series - David Gerrold in general
by ahdkaw - written on 29/01/01 (Useful, 127 readings)
Rating:
Possibly the best science-fiction series I have ever read! The books are still being written, and you will find it extremely difficult to get hold of them (it took me 12 years to find book 3 alone (although I didn't have internet access at that point)). The War Against The Chtorr is concerned with an alien eco-infestation of the planet Earth. It proves to be a difficult, if not impossible, task to rid the Earth of the many manifestations of Chtorran lifeforms. A Rage for Revnge - David Gerrold
by ahdkaw - written on 30/01/01 (Useful, 29 readings)

It also seems to show the difference between being a host of Earth and being a guest. The majority of people on this planet unfortunately appear to be guests, and we, as hosts, must ...
A Matter for Men - David Gerrold
by Mushrom - written on 25/10/02 (Very useful, 25 readings)
Rating:
"Encounter At Farpoint", and "Trials And Tribble-ations" are undoubtedly among the most loved stories in the Star Trek universe. But this series is much darker. However, David Gerrold's "War Against The Chtorr" is one of the most fascinating stories ever written. This is the first book in this series, and it throws you into the action with both feet running. At the beginning, James McCarthy is a Private, assigned to the Rocky Mountains in the United States. He is with an organization called the "Special Forces Warrent Agency". But the mission is not looking for terrorists or invaders from another country. The ...
