"Just Six Numbers". What a strange title for a book about astronomy. Apparently not; the author explains in his preface, that despite appearances, astronomy is fundamentally a science about numbers. The subtitle "The Deep Forces That Shape the Universe" is a bit more descriptive. There are, it appears, six 'numbers' that are critical to the existence of the universe. This book is about these critical numbers and their implications for the universe (and other universes!).
