Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs - Giles Andreae

Premium Review Yo Ho Ho, Pirate Dinosaurs Go, Go ,Go.... (307 words)
by Emmamac1 - written on 09/07/09 (Very useful, 21 readings)
Rating:

Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs is a wonderful children s book, which combines dinosaurs and pirates, a must for my four boys! It is written by Giles Andreae, illustrated by Russell Ayto and published by Puffin. It can be bought from Amazon from £5.24. The story is about a young boy named Flinn. He absolutely loves dinosaurs. It starts at school when Flinn is colouring in a picture of a dinosaur, and needs more pens. He goes into the store cupboard to get some and hears someone crying. It is Captain Stubble bawling his heart out, as his ship, the Acorn, has been stolen. By whom is the question? The adventure begins, as Flinn is joined by his friends, Violet, ...

Commotion in the Ocean - Giles Andreae

Crowned Review There's a Curious Commotion (878 words)
by arleek - written on 04/06/09 (Very useful, 78 readings)
Rating:

since that time, and we read it together only this morning so it is obviously still going strong (if a little dog-eared). Commotion in the Ocean is written by Giles Andreae (also known as Purple Ronnie) and illustrated by David Wojtowycz who have paired up and produced 3 other books together (3 that I know of anyway). The version I have is A4 size and in paperback. This book is basically a collection of rhymes about the various creatures that live beneath the sea. The first page is like an introduction and the text on here is slighter longer than in the rest of the book because it includes all the creatures mentioned throughout the book and kind of prepares you for ...

Commotion in the Ocean This is a sequel to The Rumble in the Jungle by Giles Andreae. It is illustrated by David Wojtowycz. It contains a set of poems about different sea creatures and it contains 32 pages. It is published by Orchard books. This author is perhaps best known for the Purple Ronnie greeting cards and this book is in the same vein, with lots of rhyme and fun. It is a paperback book of good quality and the front cover is very colourful with an octopus and a shark on the front. The poems are entitled: Commotion in the Ocean - which gives a summary about what sort of creatures you will find in the book. Crab Turtles Dolphins Angel Fish Jelly Fish ...
