In our house you can judge the usefulness of a recipe book by quite how food splattered the pages are, and this book, which we have had for over a year now has certainly got a few battle scars. "Kids Kitchen" is quite simply an excellent recipe book, the blurb on the cover sums it up perfectly "100 yummy no-knives, heat-safe recipes that children can really make". It was written by a mum of two and all the recipes have been fully tested by children and their families. Both my small daughters are very keen to get out there in the kitchen and help Mummy or Daddy with cooking so I am always on the look out for interesting cookery books which are aimed at children. I discovered this one - Kid's Kitchen' - through The Book People and it's a great one for encouraging children to want to cook and provides ideas for interesting meals which children should enjoy. Also, with all the ready meal options available, I think it's also important to share the skills of cooking with our children otherwise it is in danger of becoming a dying art!
