The King Arthur of Round Table fame whose knights searched for the Holy Grail is obviously legendary but was there a real person who gave rise to the legend? Probably, like me, you first heard of King Arthur from an expurgated version of the legend designed for children. King Arthur is often written off as a medieval fantasy – he’s a much debated topic.
