When we left Rodney Gallowglass in The Warlock in Spite of Himself (book one), he was somewhat battered but otherwise quite amazingly content. He had come to the world of Gramarye as an agent of S.C.E.N.T. to help the locals onto the road of democracy. Gramaryre is one of the Lost Colony worlds settled by the Romantic Emigrees during the darker days of governmental oppression sometime in our future. Although, if you were taking in the sites of present day Gramayre, it would look more like a hodgepodge from Earth’s medieval and renaissance eras!
