Books have changed so much since my day, never did we have the delights they have now of excellent illustrations, touch and feel and even now they do scratch and sniff books. This is a touch and feel book and designed for the younger children. The book is made of very stiff cardboard so can withstand a little bit of baby chewing. Although I must admit my youngest is not left alone with a library book for that reason. The cover is very eye catching with a picture of Kipper on the front cuddling a hen with one hand and the other placed around a large sky blue speckled egg.
