Noah likes to watch the TV series of Kipper so when he saw this book at the library, he promptly added it to our ever growing pile of stories to take home. Kipper was written by Mick Inkpen who is the creator of this lovable and endearing little dog. This book was first published in 2001 and it retails at £5.99. The story tells of Kipper the dog who decides one day, that his basket needed tidying. After he had, had a clear out he found that his basket was rather uncomfortable so he goes on the hunt for a new 'comfy' place to rest. After trying a birds nest, a plant pot, a lily pad and various other places he returns home to his basket to see if he ... Read the complete review

I know Kipper from the TV, and was surprised this book was just called 'Kipper', so imagine it is the only or main book about the dog. With that, I expected it to be really good. The story is about Kipper having a clear-out in his basket and getting rid of all his old stuff. When he is finally cleared out, he can't get comfy, so he copies the way lots of different animals sleep to see if it will help him, but of course it doesn't. The illustrations don't fill the whole page, which I always feel is a shame; the books that have full page illustrations are much more exciting to look at for kids. I admit that the illustrations in this book are nice, but ... Read the complete review

Some are small hardback books, some are touchy feely books, and some are paperbacks. Kipper is also available on video where he can be seen romping across your screen I enjoy reading kipper books to the children at work. The ... Read the complete review

My son was given this book when he was born and his came with a teddy kipper. The story is all about kipper the dog and the day he decided to have a clear out of his basket because he thought all his things were old and smelly. But when it is time for him to go in his basket it is to uncomfortable so he goes of to find himself a new home but nothing is suitable for him. In the end he goes home and rescues his old blanket and toys and at last is able to fall to sleep. This is an enjoyable book for small children and is illustrated with large colourful pictures which my small children loved to look at. I would recommend this book if you have ...
