Advantages: totally gripping
Disadvantages: none
Ever wanted to feel you are part of the story? If you are female you will in this book. I really felt for the women in this story who were captured, imprisoned, abused and tortured. I wanted to scream when they did, cry with them and fight the chains that held them. James Patterson is an excellent writer and I am unashamed to admit that I am addicted. The Alex Cross novels are worth reading. You can follow his life through his family and his work. He balances the tightrope of graphic detail and imagination perfectly. You can read through the lines which none of the films that have been made from these stories have ever captured. The killer is never who you expect it to be, he entices you to follow one scented trail then when you least expect it you divert to another. Without spoiling th entire sory, we all hate being told the ending...it's well worth reading.
