(NB This is a review of 'Strangers' by Dean Koontz. I will be asking for a specific category to be created and for this to be moved to it). Several people find themselves driven towards the brink of madness. They are strangers and yet it seems they have far more in common than they realise. Koontz?s ?Strangers? (for non-horror fans I ought to explain that it is all but compulsory for a horror book to have a one word title) tells the tale of these people and their struggle to understand what has happened to them, which leads them deep into danger. THE PLOT Koontz introduces us to several characters, each of which is ... Read the complete review

Marvellous i'n' it ? I write a bloody review on a book and it aint on dooyoo, well, i'm gonna put me op here anyway and if it gets locked then so be it. I've jus read Tick Tock and it's a blast, so here i go with my review !!!!!!!Tick Tock! Tommy Phan is trying to live up to the American dream in every way. Since arriving from war torn Vietnam as a small child he saw all that was American and decided to embrace it. Tommy’s parents do not share the same ideals as Tommy and are disappointed that he has not joined the family business, the bakery, which has grown to be a substantial empire over the 20 years that have elapsed ... As a teenager, I really love horror/suspense books such as Stephen King's. I read a huge amount of various authors, and a few Dean Koontz books, essentially because some friends told me it was 'like Stephen King'. It was only part true, as I realized later. Dean Koontz is not a real writer. He's a book-shitter. He splashes his litterary diarrhea all over the pages of his huge 'books'. He wants to be Stephen King, but he's certainly not. He's the writer who makes you realize that King is really good, by attempting to use the same exact themes (childhood friendships, strange beings, and horror from everyday's world) and the same ... Welcome to my opinion of my all time favourite author Dean R Koontz. Well I started reading from a very early age, and found myself drawn to Stephen King books, but after reading the work that he had written I quite often found his stuff very complex and resulted me quite often-loosing interest. Then by chance I came across my very 1st Dean Koontz book and I have never looked back since. I am trying to build a collection of all his books that he has ever written, that's how big a fan I am of his and I am nearly there too. What makes him a great author are his books are gripping all the way through. The nights I have been unable to go to bed because ... Read the complete review

I read hundreds of books and I rarely read a book twice – except for four. Three of those books are by Dean Koontz, Watchers, Strangers and now From The Corner of His Eye. The fourth is a Stephen King – Insomnia. Koontz has an uncanny knack of capturing the readers imagination like no other. His tales are complicated, intriguing, fascinating. I have just finished From The Corner of His Eye, it is fabulous, after a couple of poorer books from Koontz, including Demon Seed, I debated whether to buy this book or not. I am so glad I did. Unlike many authors, everyone of his books is different, every character unique. You truly believe in ... Read the complete review
