Premium Review Kremlin Device, The - Chris Ryan: Ryan at his best (342 words)
by 6heads - written on 02.01.08 (Useful, 20 readings)
Rating:

One of many exhilarating books I have read written by Chris Ryan. It's exciting from start to finish as people have come to expect from Ryan. Following the story of Geordie Sharp a member of the British SAS. In this book, one of many following Geordie Sharps fictitious escapades in the SAS, Geordie and his crack team of specialists fly to Russia to training a "Spetznaz" unit whose job it will be to protect Russia from the mafia. However as anyone who has read Ryan's books before will know that there is always more than what meets the eye and when special orders come in from London for Ryans real task in Moscow things get interesting *** ...

Premium Review Come in Moscow... (444 words)

A superbly written tale of an SAS troup undercover in Moscow. The technical detail is second to none (well, apart from his old pal Andy McNab of course!). The book gives a little background of our hero, Geordie Sharp, for those who haven't read any of the other books on the series. Basically, he's an all action hero, leader of a small troop of top SAS men. The lads start off with a quick trip across the channel, performing a dangerous parachute jump ...

"The Kremlin Device" by Chris Ryan is a superb fictional tale by the ex-SAS soldier. Ryan has turned his experiences and the skills he learnt in the army and in the SAS (Special Air Service) to another trade: writing. This is something he does masterfully. In his third fictional work, (after "Stand By, Stand By" and "Zero Option" - which I have also read and given opinions on) Ryan develops further his main character, Geordie Sharp. Geordie is an SAS NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) who has been asked to carry out a top secret mission in Russia under the cover of a legitimate training mission with the Russians. Sharp's mission is to ...
