Advantages: Loads in range

Disadvantages: Simplistic

L is for Lawless is the 12th book in Sue Grafton's , Alphabet murders range of books. For anyone that hasnt come across these stories before, they are fairly straightforward crime thrillers, featuring the private detective Kinsey Milhone.

Kinsey has worked for the police but decided to go private, a decision that seems to be in keeping with her laid back, independant personality. She has no family - well she kind of does but thats long story that could spoil a few books in the range for people so i will go no further - and she rents a little studio flat above the garage of an 85 year old man called Henry Pitts, an ex baker - a fantastic addition to the books.

Each book is based around one case, and always in quick succession from the last book, so you really ge a feel for her life - im on my 13th book in a row since may!

This case is investigating the mystery of an old man who has recently died and some people that appear in the life of the family he leaves behind - its one of the better stories in the range as it brings in some great people - i would recommend this series if yuou like light hearted thrillers, but not if you want top thriller writing!

Summary: Simple but great fun stories!
