Advantages: Literature Classic
Disadvantages: None
This is a brilliant classic by D H Lawrence. It is said the story was based on the authors life, his unhappy married life.
Lady Chatterly known as Constance, married Clifford Chatterly he is upperclass but becomes paralyzed and impotent. This leads to Constance sexual frustrations, she begins an affair with the game keeper, Mellors...
The nature of their relationship is very sexual, this caused much scandal and led to the book being banned. It was once called 'the most improper novel in the world' (Lady Chatterley's Lover Blurb).
There are other characters within the book, Sir Clifford Chatterley, Tommy Dukes, Mellors, DH Lawrence explores these relationships ad changes within the book. This is the main theme of the story love and relationships.
If i said more about the storyline, i would spoil it for you, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys classic books as I feel the book not highly sexualised in todays world. But is a literature classic and this is how D H Lawrence book should be remembered.
Summary: Bored housewife sleeps with the game keeper...oh ah
