Dracula - Bram Stoker

Premium Review A classic (224 words)
by piph1 - written on 03/09/00 (Useful, 50 readings)
Rating:

bad horror movie style. Anyway Bram Stocker creates all that in the book. Now I know my imagination is better than most movies and this book and his style of writing definetly allows me to stretch my mind in the way I like books to. And as for people saying its been surpased, please I don't think so. How can a book that is the corner stone of vampirism be beaten by some new story about scantily clad maidens being picked off by a daper young vampire. You can't beat something that you're having to use as your base. Buy this book, or at least read it, thats what I say. ...

Dracula - Bram Stoker

Premium Review Dracula (197 words)

The story itself was brutally assaulted in the early nineties when Cappola decided to put Bram’s unfortunate name in the title of his inaccurate in the extreme film “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”. Francy certainly took some liberties with the story in this one. The story itself is unusual in that it takes the form of several peoples’ journals, mostly the unfortunate Harker, the estate agent who becomes dinner in Transylvania and Van Helsing, Dracula’s arch nemesis. The first part of the novel is from Harker’s point of view as he arranges the sale of a property in London. ...

Some good stories Theres nothing new

Easy to read, hard to put down, good mix of genres Hardly any! Might not be everybody's taste

A cracking debut and a blinder of a horror novel that suffers nothing in translation Ends a bit sudden but does leave things fairly open-ended...

A true horror - grusemoe & disgusting, to be read from behind a cushion. A true horror - grusemoe & disgusting, to be read from behind a cushion.
