'Language Instinct' is one of the best works on the subject of language I have ever encountered and I find it bafflingly amazing that on a site devoted to writing, nobody bothered to add it to the database and review it. This is an attempt to rectify this omission and encourage all of the readers that are interested in language as well the mechanics of the mind in general. Steven Pinker is a psychologist specialising in language development in children and in this book he writes about language: not English, Chinese or Navaho, but language in general, which encompasses all of the languages spoken on Earth as well as the underlying 'language engine' embedded ...  Read the complete review
