Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation - Lynne Truss ... ve mentioned in other reviews that I spend a fair bit of my fair time writing for fun. Even if it is for fun, anyone who wants something halfway coherent at some point passes their work to someone else for editing, and the sad fact is that at some point in time unless you re very good your editor will end up threatening to beat you to death with your own commas. Because the friend I was using for editing loved me, and did not WANT to beat me to death, I discovered in my stocking one year a neat little copy of Eats, Shoots and Leaves. Rediscover Grammar - D. Crystal ... part of my Speech and Language Sciences course I have to study Linguistics. I have found this to be quite difficult and I haven t really enjoyed it very much so far, although I am enjoying it a bit more as I m beginning to understand it better. Unfortunately I failed my first Linguistics exam as I kept procrastinating when it came to linguistics revision. I have vowed that I am going to put enough work in for my next linguistics exam at the end of semester 2 (3 weeks time!) and so far I have. Teach Yourself Slovene Book/CD Pack - Andrea Albretti ... wanting to be the traditional helpless British property owner abroad, I have now embarked upon the arduous task of learning the Slovene language. Predictably my local college doesn t offer any Slovene classes and my enquiries so far haven t been able to find anyone offering private lessons.
