The Touch - Brian Lumley
by Charris2002 - written on 18/11/08 (Very useful, 100 readings)
Rating:
I ve been reading Brian Lumley s work for a good few years now and have seen him rise from humble beginnings to become, in my opinion, one of the major leaders in the horror genre. From his earliest days (more fantasy than horror) he paid homage to the Cthulhu Mythos created by the American writer H.P.Lovecraft. This has continued through his career. Alongside this, he s carved himself a unique niche in the horror and fantasy field with his stunning and often terrifying Wamphyri characters and his (originally human) hero, Harry Keogh, the Necroscope. A bit of background may be appropriate here to bring you up to date with Harrys history. In a nutshell, Harry was a ...

Rating:
death and Harry has allowed them to speak to one another. This book is superb; I cannot convey its superbness. It is by the talented author Brian Lumely, and as with most of his books it concentrates very heavily upon the supernatural in our modern world, yet for the first time he ties modern political games into his tales. This makes for very interesting reading. Now some of you may think that all this supernatural mumbo jumbo is not for you, but I though that when I received it a few days ago at Christmas when I received it as a gift. I began to have a quick scan of it and before I knew it I was halfway through and totally engrossed. The character development is ...

I saw the Brian Lumbley novels I was immediately drawn to his books. I love stories about the Supernatural and I wasn't disappointed. This book was definitely not for the faint hearted because he is nothing but descriptive in the way he tells you about the characters, the mutilations of victims and sex scenes within the ...
