I used to read his books regularly during my teenage years, about the same time I was reading works by Alistair MacLean, and Desmond Bagley. Eventually I moved on to other authors, and I thought I had left Hammond Innes behind forever. Last month when I was clearing out a cupboard I came across ‘Solomons Seal’.
