I first came across Latin for Even More Occasions, also known as Lingua Latina Multo Pluribus Occasionibus, when I flicked through a friend's copy and decided I wanted it. It is Henry Beard's sequel to Latin for All Occasions.

When I was nine I wanted a remote-controlled car for Christmas. Imagine my disappointment when I actually got a keyboard. Not only had my parents made me learn the piano, they now thought I would do so for pleasure? They were right, of course, and my latest keyboard stands two metres to my right as I write this.
