(This review is expanded from one I wrote for my blog) Geoffhurst Johnson, named for the footballer, aged nineteen, is as comfortable in his life he can be, with his own flat and regular Chinese takeaway for dinner. He is avoiding the past successfully until a journalist turns up at his flat, offering to pay him if he digs that past up and tells her how his father ended up going to prison nine years ago.
