As a big Danielle Steel fan, I usually buy each of her books soon after their release in paperback, and always read them the same day. I bought 'Granny Dan' on my lunch break one day last week, and read it after work. It starts off with a woman remembering her grandmother. Danina Petroskova, who she always called Granny Dan. All of the book, except for the beginning and end, which are set in the present day, is set in the early part of the 20th century.
