"She just can't smile, it always looks so un-natural!" - that was my view on Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice). My friend had just bought her autobiography and said it was really good and her opinion of Posh had totally changed. She lent it to me. It sat waiting for me to read it for quite a while. It's so big and fat it doesn't look like a book you can just pick up and read. This was a big 'project read' for me! I did flick through the photos though: there's 4 sections of colour photographs which takes you briefly through her 27 years through the eyes of her family really. You won't find any photoshoot shots in this section. ... Read the complete review

He's a stubborn old cuss, my father. Opinionated, set in his ways and growing more and more like Victor Meldrew with every passing day. Unfortunately, so is his daughter. Which means that we argue. A lot. And today's argument between us has been on the subject of "David Beckham's haircut." Father fails to see why everyone seems to be obsessed by Beckham's hair. Why any change of style makes the front page of every newspaper. Why barbers are begging the man to grow it again before they all go bankrupt. Actually, it's a mystery to me too, but I tend to be a bit more tolerant than Dad and, haircuts apart, I happen to feel that there ... Read the complete review

This is an autobiography by Victoria Beckham which talks you through the early years of her life as well as the first years of her relationship with David Beckham and the birth of their first child, Brooklyn. It follows the success of the Spice Girls and the start of Victoria's solo career when she released an album of her own work and a single with Dane Bowers (from Another Level). The book is supposed to show you the real Victoria Beckham and I really feel that this is the case. You learn all about her insecurities and her issues with eating and trusting people in her life as well as the truth about the kidnap plots again her & Brooklyn when he was ... We have all been there, we have all done it, and to this day, no one really knows why! Love them or hate them we all slate the Beckham?s but for what? Well I have always been a fan, you will see that from one of my earliest ever reviews, and it is still interesting to read the comments and people making their judgemental comments! David & Victoria are not idols of mine but they are two people that I rate very highly in British society and I do admire a lot. They are hard working, perfect parents and take great pride in themselves. What better role models do we need? I recently borrowed ?Learning to Fly? Victoria Beckham?s Biography / ... I love reading things about Victoria Beckham, in magazines mainly. However someone at work lent me this autobiography that she has written (with a lot of help) so I decided to give it a go. Most of the first half of the book, about her previous boyfriends and school life is pretty average and boring. She had a nice upbringing apart from being bullied at school. I did flick past a lot of it, as it was all the same. The best bit was when she met David Beckham and they started getting together. It was also interesting to hear about the behind the scenes bits of the Spice Girls. I still love the Spice Girls and went to see them on tour, so ... Read the complete review
