Advantages: Good second half
Disadvantages: Writing style a bit annoying
I love reading things about Victoria Beckham, in magazines mainly. However someone at work lent me this autobiography that she has written (with a lot of help) so I decided to give it a go.
Most of the first half of the book, about her previous boyfriends and school life is pretty average and boring. She had a nice upbringing apart from being bullied at school. I did flick past a lot of it, as it was all the same.
The best bit was when she met David Beckham and they started getting together. It was also interesting to hear about the behind the scenes bits of the Spice Girls.
I still love the Spice Girls and went to see them on tour, so my childhood memories were restored by seeing them, and made me more interested in reading their autobiographies. Because Victoria is generally quite a private person, half the stories in the news are made up, so its nice to hear some truth about whats happened in her life and her relationship with David Beckham.
I did enjoy reading the second half of the book, and there are some interesting pictures set through the book. Her style of writing isnt the best, but its nice to get a personal insight into her life.
This book costs 16.99 but I think you can get it cheaper on amazon, or if you buy it in paperback, as the copy I borrowed is a hardback.
Summary: Good for a read when your bored.
