Advantages: Fantastic read, bite sized, gives an insight in to her life.

Disadvantages: None

This is an autobiography by Victoria Beckham which talks you through the early years of her life as well as the first years of her relationship with David Beckham and the birth of their first child, Brooklyn. It follows the success of the Spice Girls and the start of Victoria's solo career when she released an album of her own work and a single with Dane Bowers (from Another Level).

The book is supposed to show you the real Victoria Beckham and I really feel that this is the case. You learn all about her insecurities and her issues with eating and trusting people in her life as well as the truth about the kidnap plots again her & Brooklyn when he was first born and all the emotions that she felt because of this. It also talks about what it was like for her when she was growing up and knew that she wanted to be a star but she really suffered whilst at dance school and learning how to sing properly.

I did find the book to be very interesting reading and it was great to learn more about the forming of the Spice Girls as I was always a fan when I was younger and I got to read lots of stories about the good times and the bad times as well as the 'truth' behind Geri leaving the band (which broke my heart at the time!). The book is very well written and it does not gloss over the bad sides of being in the business which I think some celebrities seem to have forgotten about once they've made the big time.

Victoria seems to be very open and honest about the bad side to herself as well as her true eating problems and she does not attempt to make her whole life sound rosy. It's also lovely to hear her take on motherhood and having her first son and trying fiercely to protect him.

The book was a fantastic read & one that I would recommend. I picked it up for the bargain price of 30p in my local charity shop but if you want to buy a new copy it is available for £5.99 from Amazon.co.uk

I am rating the book 5/5 as it's a frank insight in to her life and as I've said before the bad sides are not glossed over.

Summary: A highly recommend look in to the life of Victoria Beckham.
