Advantages: Addictive, horrifying

Disadvantages: Haunting

A disturbing and haunting story of a young american baby sitter held captive by the young children she was hired to protect.

The sitter, named Barbera takes on the job of looking after Dr Adams children whilst the parents are away in Europe.

However the delightfull children, play a game on her, they tie her up, and keep her locked in the house against her will.

The actions become increasingly more disturbing as the plot develops, and you cant help feeling for Barbera, hoping they will end the game and let her go.

The book not only covers Barberas prospective, but the childrens to, as they struggle with their actions, and their fears are explored.

The book is not for the faint hearted, I read it many years
ago and I still remember the power the book held, the latter parts of the book in particular can be regarded as true horror, I wont spoil the ending, you will have to read it to find that out.

Over all a novel, as proclaimed on the front of my copy that is "more teriffying than lord of the flies & the exorcist combined".

A recommended read for hardened horror fans.
