Advantages: Quick and easy to refer to with important information often missed out in other books.

Disadvantages: Maps were lacking in detail and often vague

I found that let's go guide to Central America 2000 very useful and much more so than other guides that others had. It was up to date which was an improvement on other guides who in this region really had many things wrong. Its pricing was acurate and it did lead us to some of the cheapest places and there information of crossing boarders and getting around was much better than other guides that I have used. This proved especially usefull here as it would give cost, length of journey and times that they go. It gave useful advice also on keeping safe and the facts about the country. My main problem however was one of maps as I didn't generally find them very useful and they lacked detail. Apart from that they helped me to make the most of my trip on my limited budget. They also had an alternative to tourism section which I found really good. It listed things like voluntary work and study in the countries. Overall a good guide book.
