Advantages: None
Disadvantages: This is not the offical book
This Study Guide is advertised as being for the Life in the UK Test. Inside the book are questions and answers that are found in the UK Test.
If you are required to take the Life in the UK Test then the only book you should be reading are those published by the Home Office as you would be advised when you ring your local test centre. The problem with revising a Study Guide is that you are only revising the Questions and answers within that book, so if on the day of the test you find a question that was not in that book you will not know the answer to it. The official Home Office books are more expensive and there is more to read but they also have in there all the information that the test is based on.
This book is not an original and not an official study guide for this test. If you do decide to study this then it would also be useful to buy idea Home Office book as well and just use this book to test yourself with after you have read the other one. The Home Office have now released a Study Guide and a CD which are relevant to the test and either of those would be better to purchase than this. If you do buy the Home Office book you do only need to study chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and some of these chapters deal with everyday life in Britain that you should know the answers to anyway.
Summary: Can cause problems if you think you are studying the right book, most people who fail have used this
