Ronan Keating has written this biography with Eddie Rowley, an Irish author and journalist, who is a close friend to Ronan. Eddie is the chief entertainments correspondent on the Sunday World, Irelands biggest selling newspaper. Anyway, back to the subject. For those of you who are unaware, Ronan Keating was the front man of a very famous Irish boy band called Boyzone, who were at their peak during the 1990’s. They competed with the likes of Take That and East 17 and although did not constantly dominate the number one position in Britain, they did manage to have a steady succession of hits, before splitting to pursue solo projects in 1999. ... I am a fan of Ronan Keating and Boyzone, so maybe I am a bit biased but I thought this book was brilliant. I read this book in one mammoth session, but i just couldn't put it down. The book is frank about Ronan's humble beinnings in Dublin, he talks of his childhood in some detail. What is remarkable is that Ronan might never have been as famous as he is today as he could well have becomean athlete as he was heavily involved in running when he was younger. This Autobiography is one like no other. After reading this book you will never look at the "Manufactured" boybands in the same way! Starting of with the trials and tribulations of growing up in the North side of Dublin this book takes you through the highs and lows of pop stardom! The self titled book holds no punches and gives the authors (Ronan Keatings) view on many people in the world of pop from Elton John to Michael Jackson.
