This chapter has pictures of all these wacky little creatures and some of them look so funny especially a little creature called a streaked tenrec from Madagascar that looks like a tiny hedgehog with highlights in its hair.
Interesting fact from the chapter - A shrews heart beats at 1200 times a minute!! (Ours beat at about 70 times a minute)

Ever since I was a kid I have loved animals I've loved going to see them at zoos, watching programs about them on TV and reading books about them. This was probably due to my dad being very interested in natural history and we used to and still do sit down and watch documentaries on the TV with each other. Out of all the natural history documentaries my favourites and my dad's favourites were those presented by David Attenborough. This is a fantastic book! Thoroughly enjoyable and extremely informative. I bought it for my two children aged 5 and 6 at the time to help and encourage them in gaining a better insight into the animal kingdom.
