 ... the author before I read this book although I recall a few years ago reading somewhere that he was gay and that he was furious because Madonna had outed him in an interview. I've read Madonna - Queen of the World written by Douglas Thompson and the more famous biography by Andrew Morton but both of these are about ten years old. Christopher Ciccone is Madonna's younger brother. He is an 'artist'. For years he was part of his sister's entourage and was also on the payroll as 'dresser', 'tour designer', 'tour director', 'interior designer' - in fact anything that sounded a bit arty. Then he and Madge fell out, she stopped paying his wages and so he wrote this tell-all book in revenge. Brotherly love - you can't beat it. However, despite my opinions of its author, this book is a pretty interesting insight into the increasingly mental world of a superstar/diva/self-styled sex-goddess, from someone who was actually there alongside her (well, behind her probably).
