Little Miss Bossy is the 1st Little Miss book. Roger Hargreaves created the Mr Men in 1971. Ten years later, he created the Little Misses as well, off the back of the success of the Mr Men. They are lovely books, which I enjoyed when I was a kid. My son prefers the Mr Men books as he can relate to them more being a male, but they're still very good. Little Miss Bossy is a small, dark blue blob, with a red and yellow hat with a flower poking out of it. Her mouth is wide, and she looks bossy! In the story, she keeps going round bossing all the Mr Men around. The wizard sees this and looks in his magic book for a way to stop this. The next day when he spots ... Read the complete review

Now Little Miss Bossy has always been one of those books that just seems to follow me around. Now obviously I don't mean it grows legs and literally follows me to college, round town and to the cinema but the character described in the book does seem to pop up from time to time. When I was younger Little Miss Bossy was a favourite book of mine and being quite a headstrong person at times my mum did take to calling me this now and then. This therefore means that whenever I have one of my bossy moments now the ideas within this story do get thrown across the living room. I suppose however this highlights how immensely popular and unforgettable these stories ... Read the complete review

For several weeks now we have been reading the Mr Men books to Toby before he goes to bed, now we have finished those we are working our way through the Little Miss books. As we (Toby, Dad and I) are enjoying them so much I wanted to share them with you too. This book is number 1 in the complete collection from Roger Hargreaves, and is all about Little Miss Bossy, a circular blue character who wears a red hat, with a yellow band and white daisy sticking out from it. The picture on the front of the book shows Little Miss Bossys mouth wide open! All Mr Men and Little Miss stories are laid out in the same way, with writing on the left hand page and a ... 'Little Miss Bossy' is the first in the Little Miss series of books which were begun by Roger Hargreaves and continued after his death by his son, Adam. Roger Hargreaves began writing the Little Miss stories in 1981 after the Mr Men stories proved to be a big success. I always preferred the Little Miss stories to the Mr Men ones when I was little, but my boys seem to enjoy both sets equally. Naughty or bad characters seem to go down particularly well! Little Miss Bossy is a very round, blue little thing with short, stubby arms and legs, a HUGE mouth [presumably for bossing people about with] and a red and yellow hat with a flower sticking out of it. ...
