Little Miss Busy is the 19th Little Miss book. Roger Hargreaves created the Mr Men in 1971. Ten years later, he created the Little Misses as well, off the back of the success of the Mr Men. They are lovely books, which I enjoyed when I was a kid. My son prefers the Mr Men books as he can relate to them more being a male, but they're still very good. Little Miss Busy looks like a stereotypical school nerd, with her large glasses and rounded features, always carrying a book under her arm. In the story, she is constantly finding ways of keeping busy, and regularly reads her book on work being good for you. One day, she becomes ill, and the doctor prescribes lots ... The Mr Men and Little Miss stories written by Roger Hargreaves have been favourites of children for many years and are as popular now as they were when they first appeared. Little Miss Busy is number 19 in the Little Miss collection. The book is perfect for children as it is long enough to be engaging but short enough to be read at bedtime. Furthermore the characters in them are so unique that the possibilities for funny voices are endless. Little Miss Busy is yellow and rather studious.
