Little Miss Classic Library: Little Miss Brainy - Roger Hargreaves

Little Miss Brainy is the 25th Little Miss book. Roger Hargreaves created the Mr Men in 1971. Ten years later, he created the Little Misses as well, off the back of the success of the Mr Men. They are lovely books, which I enjoyed when I was a kid. My son prefers the Mr Men books as he can relate to them more being a male, but they're still very good. Little Miss Brainy looks like a swot! She is blue, with a pointed nose, and smart yellow hair with a pink bow at the back. She holds her finger out as if to tell you the answer to something. Little Miss Brainy is number 25 in the Little Miss series of books which contains 33 stories. The series was originally written by Roger Hargreaves who wrote the first 30 stories in the collection, his son Adam taking over the writing mantle for the final 3. Now in my opinion Little Miss Brainy is a fantastic character. She isn't the normal round shape that many of the others are. Oh no she's more oblong in shape but has a triangular pointed nose that really makes her stand out. She is dark blue in colour and has bright yellow are which is secured with a lovely red bow.
