Little Miss Lucky and the Naughty Pixies is a Little Miss Book from the 'with added sparkle' collection. Little Miss Lucky is a round pick character and she wears a blue and white check hat with a red bow, she also has a little round blue nose.

The front cover of the book is green with a picture of Little Miss Lucky surrounded by red toadstools which are red and covered in glitter and the title of the book is above this in black and blue writing. The back cover of the book is white and has small pictures showing other titles available in the 'with added sparkle' collection.

The book begins by telling us that Little Miss Lucky is the luckiest person in the world, when she goes for a walk she always finds a coin on the floor. She never gets caught in the rain and even when things go wrong she is still always lucky. When she locked herself out of her house, she was so lucky that a locksmith drove right around the corner.

Last week though things started to happen to Little Miss Lucky that never usually happened to her, these were unlucky things. She walked under a ladder and a paint pot fell on her head, when she walked down the road she fell down a manhole and when she walked past a garden she got sprayed with a sprinkler. Little Miss Lucky did not know what was going on.

Will Little Miss Lucky become lucky again and will she find out what is happening to her, or who is doing these things to her or will she always be unlucky?

This is a fun book in the new 'with added sparkle' collection. The character of Little Miss Lucky is the same as in the ordinary book but has a different story. The added sparkle only really applies to the cover of the book as there is no glitter on the illustrations in the book.

The book is laid out in a very straight forward was with the writing on plain white pages on the left hand side of the book and the illustration on the right hand side of the book. The illustrations are all nice and bright and do help with telling the story.

The story has been writing in nice simple and basic words which means it is very easy for even younger children to understand and follow. The only downside to the book is that the writing is quite small. The book is an ideal one for beginner readers and with some slight help and lots of encouragement they will be able to read the book independently.

The book is only short and can be read in about 5 minutes so it is an ideal bed time story, you can make the book last longer by talking about what can bee seen in the illustrations if you wish.
