Little Miss Scary is the 31st Little Miss book. Roger Hargreaves created the Mr Men in 1971. Ten years later, he created the Little Misses as well, off the back of the success of the Mr Men. They are lovely books, which I enjoyed when I was a kid. My son prefers the Mr Men books as he can relate to them more being a male, but they're still very good. Little Miss Scary is one of the books created by his son, Adam Hargreaves, in 2003. Little Miss Scary is a small round ball of scariness! She is red, and with spiny spikes instead of hair! She also has a menacing face. In the story, she lives in Spooky Cottage on a mountain, and likes to come down at night and lie ... Read the complete review

As you can probably guess by now, if you read a lot of my reviews that is, I absolutely adore the Mr Men and Little Miss books and everything else to do with them. If you didn't know that then you certainly do now. Being such a big lover of the books I was obviously over the moon when in 2003 Adam Hargreaves, the son of Mr Men creator Roger Hargreaves, published 6 new never-seen-before stories. Three of these were Mr Men characters and three were Little Miss Characters. I of course ran out immediately and purchased them. I say ran I do of course mean pestered my dad to drive me to the nearest bookshop and bought them there. Little Miss Scary was one of these ... Read the complete review

Little Miss Scary is number 31 in the Little Miss Collection. She is a small red character and has spiky hair. She also has a little round yellow nose. The cover of the book is white with a picture of her at the bottom and the title above in black lettering. The back cover of the book is also white and has smaller pictures of the other Little Miss characters. THE STORY The book begins by telling us that Little Miss Scary lives near the top of a mountain in a house called Spooky Cottage and when it became dark she would creep into the valley below, making sure that no one would see her and she would hide and wait until somebody came along. When ... Read the complete review

The Mr Men and Little Miss collection are fun understandable books for children up to about 9 years old, I remember these stories and I certainly had great fun with these friendly characters. Little Miss Scary is a character with a "scary" personality and appearance, she is small red ball with spikes at the top of her head, she has a round yellow nose and a mischievous look on her face. The story is fun for children and they could even learn something about it, it starts telling us where she lives and talking about her favourite hobby; when it became dark she liked going down to the valley to scare everyone she saw, this seemed hilarious ...
