***Background*** Debi Gliori is probably better known for her Pure Dead series of books than her picture books even though she has written and illustrated dozens of them. Her book Mr Bear won her a Children's Book Award and there are many other in that particular series to delight young children. Born in Glasgow, Debbie went to Art College in Edinburgh before travelling and then settling in Scotland to have her 5 children.
