I seem to see a lot of kids books these days using words that small children simply do not understand and I cannot understand why authors would do this. This is not the case with Tony Ross books however and they make great bedtime stories for kids from age 3 onwards. If your children or grandchildren like a book at bedtime or at any other time for that matter then I strongly recommend you look out for the L...more

Tony Ross has written a whole host of children's books beginning with the title `I Want`. I reckon that most parents and Grandparents hear that phrase regularly and just dread it! (In fact, the back cover tells me that over million copies of Little Princess stories have been sold so far.) A Little Princess story might seem a bit of a strange choice for a household full of boys, but I picked this up from the library the other week as we had previously enjoyed a story in the series (I Want My Dinner.) Both my boys seem to like the Little Princess character, perhaps because she can be a ...  Read the complete review
